Gosh, it's the 1st of April,
so time for a new 'Creative Challenge' over at Lavinia Stamps,
April's theme is 'Buds & Blooms'.
So, get out your Lavinia stamps, ink them up, and create something and enter,
for a chance to win a huge £40 voucher,
to spend on goodies from the Lavinia Webshop.
Here are my DT samples.......
This first A5 card has these stamps on it.....
Honeysuckle and Bee Miniature.
The Honeysuckle was coloured with Distress inks, after stamping it with Versafine Black ink, I then made a light blue wash, again with Distress ink for the background. I stamped the Bee's onto a separate piece of card, again coloured using Distress ink, then fussy cut them, added then to the card using 3D glue gel, and put on plenty of Stickles.
Card 2
On this A5 card, the stamps I used were.....
Fairy Buds, Skinny Mushrooms and Birds.
I stamped all the blooms with a Kaliedacolor ink pad, which gives them all the nice bright colours, I stamped the mushrooms and birds in Distress ink. I then stamped the blooms again on a separate piece of card, and fussy cut them to give the card extra dimension, and used lots of stickles for bling.
Card 3.
I made a gelli plate background for this card, the stamps I used were.....
Once I'd brayered some Distress ink onto the gelli, I stamped the Nigela's onto the gelli too, then took a print. On top of this print, I stamped again using Versafine ink, then added stickles of course !!!!
Card 4.
This third 6" x 6" card was made using the following stamps.....
I used the new Distress Oxide inks for this background, then stamped the Mon Pods and the Zen plant with an Oxide ink, I then stamped the Pods again, and the sentiment, masking the words to get what I wanted, on top of the background, this time using Versafine ink. I used distress inks on the coloured pods, highlighted with a white pigment pen,
and then of course I added more stickles !!!!!
Hi Pauline your cards are stunning those stamps are amazing. Take care. Hugs Jackie
