Visible Image Stamps, Ranger alcohol inks, Tim Holtz felt applicator, on a card.

Hello everyone, Happy Friday, I hope you've all had a fab week.

Today I want to share with you, two cards, I have made with more of the

Both cards are a different design, but made with the same technique,
alcohol inks on acetate, which give a fantastic glow to the background of your work.

The first card was made using the lovely rose, and Love sentiment from  the 'Isabella Lost Love set'.
I started off with a piece of square heat embossable acetate, stamped the rose's in a circle in black ink, and heat embossed them in clear powder.
I then flipped the acetate over to the reverse side, and using 3 colours of alcohol ink, dotted onto a Tim Holtz felt applicator, started to dab the colour all over the acetate to cover it, then using a little alcohol ink solution on the same felt pad, dabbed that over the inks, you will see the ink starting to separate and swirl, it's a great effect.
When all the ink has dried, using some white acrylic paint, carefully colour in the backs of the roses, this make them pop. (you will still see the outlines of the roses, as the alcohol ink is semi transparent)

I matted the acetate onto gold mirror card, and attached it with silicone pads  and gemsto the base card.
I then stamped the sentiment, cut it out and matted it onto a red heart, added a bow and attached with silicone gel.

This second card was done in the same way, using different colours of alcohol inks, only this time I stamped the beautiful 'Enchanting Snowflakes' in versamark, and heat embossed using a silver sparkle powder, and used a smaller piece of acetate to cover half the card. On the other half of the card I  stamped the snowflakes in blue ink, matching up the pattern with the acetate. Using the fab sentiment stamp 'Winters Miracle',

which I stamped in versamark, and heat embossed with silver powder, matted and layered, and attached it to the card, I also attached the acetate, again using silicone pads and gems, the finishing touch is a bow and a sparkly gem.

Please don't forget the October Challenge, have you entered it yet???

Altered Mini Shelving unit with Tim Holtz embellishments and other things

It's me again, just a quick update.
This time I'm sharing something a little different to my usual cards and tags.

I had great fun altering this little wooden shelf unit, and as it was for a male crafter, I had to put quite a lot of thought into it, lol !!!!

I'm not going to put details of how I did things, I'll just let the photo's speak for themselves.

Thank you for visiting, hope to see you again soon, and please leave me a comment and tell me what you think.

Hugs, Pauline xxxx

Visible Image Stamps, Distress Inks, Stampendous Embossing powders & Shrink Plastic on a tag.

Hello my crafting friends, fellow bloggers and New Followers,

It's Friday, and my turn to share one of my creations, made with 'Visible Image Stamps'
This week it's another tag, I do love making tags, I seem to be able achieve something beautiful, quite quickly, which for me is very satisfying, as I am usually quite a slow crafter lol !!!
My love of bright colours shows in this creation !!!!

I have some fabby Stampendous red glitter embossing powder, which seemed to be just right for the wonderful Visible Image 'Beauty is Art' stamp set.
I started with some Manilla card, it's so fab to work with, coloured it with a gentle covering of Worn Lipstick distress ink, stamped the body in Versamark, heat embossed with the glitter embossing powder, and cut it out, and did the same with the lovely 'Butterfly'.

The backgound was achieved, using a manilla size 8 tag and distress inks, first I stamped with 'Grunge Checked Background' in a Spun Sugar, next came 'Grunge Polka dot Background' in Shaded Lilac, then the 'Crackled Background' in Worn Lipstick, and lastly the fab new 'Ripped Fishnet' in Pickled Raspberry.

Then using the edging stamp from the set, I stamped using Versamark, down the right side of the tag and across the bottom, heat embossed again using the red glitter powder, then sprinkled some white and pink Frantage powder over the edging and heat embossed from underneath the tag, just to soften the look.
Using Silicone gel, I attached the body and butterfly, stamped all the words onto pink shrink plastic, heated with my heat gun, and watched the magic as they shunk, lol, coated them with glossy accents, added them to the tag, and finished off with some Tulle.

Visible Image Stamps, Distress Inks, Wow embossing powders and Indigo Blu Gilding Flakes, on a tag.

Hello again,

It's Friday, and my turn to share with you, a tag I created using

I have taken my inspiration, from the beautiful colours of Autumn, as the leaves change from green to gold, they look so magical.

Using Distress inks I coloured a manilla tag, then stamped all over with the Crackled Background, in a slightly darker colour.
Next I stamped with the Retro Dots Background, and versamark, then sprinkled different colours of embossing powder over it and heat set.

I then used one of my favorite Visible Image stamps, the fab and very versatile Grunge Flourish and versamark, heat embossing with gold powder.

I stamped the gorgeous Butterfly three times with Indigo Blu flitter glue, onto black cardstock, then used gilding flakes to give that fab Autumnal colour, with black stickles on the body,
(everything I create has to have stickles somewhere, lol !!!)

Last but not least, the sentiment, which I thought was quite apt, is from the Chandelier set, heat embossed in gold, again onto black cardstock.

There is free p & p for the whole of this month on all orders at Visible Image,
and stamps to suit all tastes.

The Challenge is still running, this months theme is 'The Colours of Autumn', with a chance to win £20 on new stamps, and there are some fab New Designs, including a great 'Ripped Fishnet', 'Father Christmas' and 'Jack the Snowman', do pop over and look at the DT inspiration and of course enter.

Visible Image Stamps, Distress inks, Tim Holtz Chit Chat stickers, Memory Box Die and Treasure Gold on a card

Hello,
It's Friday again, they do seem to come around so quickly, lol,
and my day to share a Visible Image creation with you.

I have made another spooky Halloween card,
made with some of the fab stamps from the
and also the Max Rocks set.

I started off with the background using Distress inks, and added some Tall Grass, I also built a brick wall on a separate piece of card, using the bricks out of 'Max Rocks', stamped and cut out to the desired shape, you could of course save time and use the Brickwall background stamp !!!

Before attaching the wall to the background, I stamped some bats and some trees using the branch from 'Edward is Immortal'.

I then glued on the wall, and stamped and heat embossed the fence from Isabella Lost Love, when it was cool, I rubbed over a bit of Treasure Gold gilding wax to give it a metallic sheen.

The finishing touches are, a Memory Box Spider die, some white Posca pen eyes on the bats, and a Tim Holtz Chit Chat Twilight sticker.

This was so much fun to create, and is something you could help the children make for Halloween, they'd love the spookyness, lol !!!!

Don't forget there is free p&p on everything for the month of October on the Visible Image website, so fill your boots.

I stamped 'Grunge Flourish', (one of my favorite stamps), with Versamark around the edges of the coloured card, and heat embossed using clear WOW embossing powder. I then coloured over with Chipped Sapphire Distress inks, and gave it a polish.

Next I stamped 'Classic Face' in Chipped Sapphire, and heat embossed again using clear embossing powder. She was coloured using Vintage photo and her lips are Ripe Persimmon, I gave her a tear using glossy accents !!

The flowers were made from the bottom wings of the 'Butterfly', which were coloured and stamped, again using Distress inks in Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon and Rusty Hinge, then cut out, shaped and glued together, I added threaded buttons to the centers.
Before assembling I found a piece of lace, distressed it, and added it.
