Visible Image Stamps, Brusho Crystal Paints, Distress Inks, Black Versafine Ink and Stickles.

Hi there crafty friends,

Just 2 weeks left to the big day, and I'm not nearly ready, it will be a last minute panic I think, lol !!!!

Today I'd like to share a card I've made using some fabulous stamps
The stamps I've used are.............
'Sunshine on a rainy day' from one of the Express Yourself range, in the Sunshine set and Winter Tree.

I sprinkled some Bruso paints onto a piece of white card, and spritzed with water, and put it aside to dry. When it was dry, I made the sun using 'Mustard Seed' Distress ink, and added some 'Broken China' Distress ink at the top of the card, I stamped the Winter Tree 3 times using 'Black Versafine ink', then inked in the grass with 'Mowed Lawn' Distress ink, using some torn copy paper. I stamped the sentiment at the bottom, and coloured in the 'Sunshine' using 'Mustard Seed' and 'Ripe Persimmon' Distress inks. The bunting was some I had in my stash, coloured with 'Silkies Paints', the finishing touch of course was Stickles on the bunting, around the trees and on the word 'Sunshine'.

Just a couple of weeks left to join in Visible Image's very last Blog Challenge, the theme being 'Tis the Season, a great chance of winning £20 of fantastic stamps, all the details are HERE.

Visible Image Stamps, Distress Inks, and Stickles.

Hi there friends,

I expect you're all getting ready for the festive season, I'm not nearly ready yet, but I shall panic nearer the time, hehehe.

I'm here again to share another creation I've made using some of the fantastic Visible Image stamps, but especially one of the new 'Express Yourself range, Never Grow Up.
The other stamps I've used are.... the tape measure from The Sewing Room, the numbers from Time after Time, and the stars from Jake Skates Set.

I started off by blending Salty Ocean, Mustard Seed and Picked Raspberry Distress inks, which makes a lovely bright multi colour effect. Using Salty Ocean and the Tape measure stamp, I stamped twice at different angles, masking in the middle so one went under the other, and gently coloured them using some ink and a water brush. I then used the Numbers stamp and Picked Raspberry and stamped under the tape. I stamped the starts randomly, again using the same colours.

I coloured a separate piece of card for the sentiment and stamped it, mat and layered and added it at a jaunty angle. T finish off I used Stickles to highlight bits of the stamping.

My favourite stamp from the new range, it seems to have been made for me !!!

Don't forget to join in the very last Visible Image Blog Challenge, the theme is 'Tis the Season', and it doesn't have to be Christmas, it can be just Winter. All the rules and details for a chance of winning a £20 coupon for new stamps are HERE.

There is also a call out for Visible Image Design Team member, if you love stamping and colouring characters, read all the details HERE.

Lavinia Stamps, Distress Inks, Stickles

Hello again,

It's the beginning of a new month, and time for a new Lavinia Stamps Challenge, the theme for December is 'Add some Flowers'. My first card is a Christmas card, the stamps I've used are......
Christmas NightChristmas Tree Group and the Merry Christmas words from

I coloured the background using Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire Distress inks over a moon mask, I did'nt exactly blend the colours, because I wanted it to look moody, I more dabbed them, then removed the mask and carefully added little smudges of ink over the moon, I then added a very small touch of Festive berries to co-ordinate with the red mat. I used Tumbled Glass for the snow, just to give the picture a bit of depth. I stamped the sleigh and the Trees using Chipped Sapphire. When the ink was dry, I used White glue for the tops of the snow drifts, sprinkled with Glitter, I then used blue, Red and Stardust Stickles for all the sparkle. I finished the card off with some Tim Holtz die cut Poinsettia flowers and some foliage.

The next card I have made for my Son and his Partner, who recently bought and moved into their own house. The stamps used on this were........

Stamp the House first, then make a mask from a Post-it note and cover it and add a moon/sun mask before blending the background and the foreground with Distress inks, remove the masks, and colour in the house with Promarkers. Put the house mask back on, colour the inside of the Sun, then stamp the trees, the birds and the path. Remove the mask again and stamp the flowers. Carefully go round the house with a white pen, then add Stickles wherever you want them to add some colour.

I hope these cards have given you a touch of inspiration, and that you'll enter the December Challenge, please only use Lavinia Stamps for a chance to win £40 worth of Lavinia goodies, Email entries are also accepted if you haven't got a blog, all the details are HERE.

Visible Image Stamps, Distress inks, Stickles, Black Stazon ink & Promarkers

Hello again,

I've another creation to share with you, made using some fantastic

The stamps used on this 8" x 8" card are......

I wanted to make a Christmas card, without using any Christmas stamps, so I stamped the Castle using Distress ink, and shading it with  Promarkers, I made a mask to cover the Castle out of a post it note, then added a moon mask over the top, before blending the background using Distress inks. After removing both masks. I ripped a piece of copy paper, and used this to make the blue snow ripples again with Distress ink.

I stamped the Winter tree in brown Distress ink, and the Tall Grass in blue. I used bleach on the Speckled Background stamp, and stamped randomly over the coloured part of the background, then stamped it using blue Distress ink on all the white parts, this is my snow storm, lol !!!! I used Cosmic Shimmer dries white glue, for my snow, and whilst still wet sprinkled glitter over it.

I stamped Fae onto a separate piece of card, and coloured her with Promarkers, then fussy cut. Her wings were stamped with Black Stazon onto Acetate, and coloured on the reverse side with Promarkers, and when dry I added some white Acrylic paint over the Promarkers, and fussy cut the wings. Her wand is a pin with a red star shaped end, which I covered in Versamark, then dipped into a pale blue powder, and heated embossed.
My finishing touch of course, is stickles, pink and blue on the Fairy and the grass, red for the baubles and dots of Frosted lace Stickles for the snow storm.

Visible Image Stamps, Brusho Crystal Paints, Distress Inks, Black Embossing Powder, Stardust Stickles & Glossy Accents.

Hello Lovely Crafty friends,

Here's my weekly inspiration, using some of the fantastic
 Visible Image stamps available.

On this 5 1/2" x 7 1/2" card, the stamps I've used are.......

I'm sorry, but the photo's are not the best, the day's have been so dark, that I've had to rely on a daylight bulb, lol !!!!

I started off making the background, mixing Brusho's separately with a drop of water in a palette, 3 colours, yellow, turquoise and red.
I painted them randomly, letting them merge if they wanted to. when that was dry, using a paintbrush, I flicked the left over paint all over it. I then stamped the dots, just holding it in my hand, again randomly, using Picked Raspberry distress ink. I used the same method with the script stamp, but used Peacock Feathers, and then again with Mustard Seed.
I stamped the sentiment with Versamark, and heat embossed in black.

I stamped the butterflies onto white card with Versamark and heat embossed again using black powder, coloured them with distress inks, fussy cut, shaped them and added Stickles.

For the Woman, I sprinkled a small amount of red Brusho onto the card, and spritzed with water, running it to the left, don't worry if you have white card showing, this adds to the splattered look, and can be coloured with Salty Ocean Distress ink.
Totally dry it, then add a swipe with an anti-static bag, and stamp the Woman with Versamark, and heat emboss in black. I then added a coat of glossy Accents to all the black, to give extra dimension, when it was dry I added Stickles to bling it !!!!!
As you can see I rounded the corners, and mounted it onto black and blue card stock, before adding to the card with glue gel, then added the shaped butterflies with glue gel too.

Visible Image Stamps, Brusho Crystal paints, Distress Inks, Wow embossing powders and a White pen.

Hello again,

Just popping in to share a card using some fantastic Visible Image Stamps, on this card the stamps I've used are........

I used my Brusho's with water to make a colourful background, then using Versamark and the Man Inkognito stamp, heat embossed in white powder,

then the same with the Woman Inkognito stamp, but heat emboss with back powder.

I stamped the sentiment and the small heart, again using versamark and again Black embossing powder. Using a paintbrush, I flicked water onto the project, left it a few seconds then used a kitchen roll to mop up, this bleaches the ink leaving splash marks.
Using the stamps again with black ink, I went along the sides of the card, then with the splat stamps I inked with Black on the mans side, and household bleach on the Woman's side. Th last thing I did, was add some highlights to the sentiment with a white pen.

You have just a few days to enter the Visible Image Challenge, the theme is 'Get Spooky', for a chance to win a £20 coupon for new stamps, take a look at the rules and how to enter HERE.

Visible Image Stamps, Paperartsy Grunge Paste, Distress inks, Wow Embossing Powders & Treasure gold.

Hello again friends,

Today I'm sharing a card I've made with one of my favourite stamp sets from Visible Image, the fabulous 'Free Your Imagination set'.

I started off with the background, blending 3 colours of Distress ink, Salty Ocean, Ripe Persimmon and Mustard Seed, I added a mask and spritzed water through it, bleaching the ink. then stamping the small feather randomly, using Mustard Seed ink.
Now the messy bit, lol, I placed the mask back on the background, spreading a little grunge paste in 3 places, and left to dry.
Using a gold Treasure Gold gilding wax and my finger, I rubbed over the grunge paste to highlight it, then stamped the ink splat radomly with Ripe Persimmon ink, the Raven was stamped with Versamark, and heat embossed in gold powder, I also added the Treasure Gold around the edges of the background.

On a separate piece of card I stamped the feather 3 times with Versamark, heat embossed them in blue powder, fussy cut them, highlighted them with Treasure Gold, shaped them and secured with glue gel.

I inked a separate piece of card with Salty Ocean ink, stamped the sentiment with Versamark, and heat embossed in Orange powder, cut to size, then using the mask and spreading some grunge paste onto the corners to add some more dimension, when it was dry I rubbed over with the Treasure Gold.
