Pan Pastels and Linen card from Papermill for a Birthday card

Hi fellow bloggers, friends and new followers,
I've been a bit quiet this week, I seem to have had a long busy week, with not an awful lot achieved, and the weather, well what can I say except I thought it was Spring, lol. and I hope this cold spell hasn't hindered you too much, and that it disappear's quickly
I'm looking forward to going to the NEC Hobbycraft show tomorrow, and if it's still snowing, I will be taking my huskies and sled, lol. (The car, my partner and his trusty shovel!!!!)

It was my Niece's Birthday this week, so I made her a card which was inspired by the very Talented Eileen Godwin, please visit her blog to see her fantastic creations. http://eileenscraftyzone.blogspot.co.uk/

I used Pan Pastels, Linen card from Papermill and a couple of stamps, quite simple really, and as I am still practicing with the Pans, I was quite pleased.

Thank you for visiting, and for the fab comments you leave, I love reading them.

See you next time,

Distress inks, SplodgeAway mat, and Stampin up Birthday card.

Hi again fellow bloggers, friends and welcome to my new followers,

I love using my distress inks, especially when I put them on randomly, and get a bit messy lol !!!

This is a Birthday card I made recently, inspired by an article I read in a Craft Stamper magazine,

There's no real technique, just choose some colours and put them on randomly, blending well, I also used a mask, some Stampin-up stamps, and a die cut butterfly.

I was quite pleased with the outcome, I hope the recipient was too.

Thank you for taking the time to visit, I'd also like to thank you for leaving me your fab comments.

See you again soon,
Hugs

Imagination Crafts, Dylusions and Promarkers, ATC and matching card,

Hi again friends, and welcome to my new followers,

Gosh it's gone cold again, just when I thought it was safe to put away the
 thermals, lol !!!

Today, I thought I would show you a bit of colour, to hopefully cheer you up, and make you feel a bit warmer.....
so my share, is an ATC and matching card I made, earlier this year, for an ATC group I belong to.
(ATC's for those that don't know, is a piece of  decorated card 2 1/2"x 3 1/2")

I started with Dylusions, on some smooth card, did a bit of  bleaching with a water spray, and some ghosting with a stencil or two, then added some Imagination Crafts, 'Sparkle Medium' through a mask, attached a stamped and coloured image, which I covered with crackle glaze, some glossy accents, a punched border and a bit of ribbon, a couple of pearls, a stamped sentiment, and hey presto.....

Thanks for popping by, please leave me a comment if you have time.
Until next time,

Hugs,
Pauline

Tim Holtz stamps, Sheena Douglass stamps, Pan Pastels, and Promarkers.

Hello again Crafty blogging friends,

I decided to be a bit different with my approach to a Mother's Day card this year,
my Mum loves vintage images, and also flowers, so I have combined the two,
fingers crossed that she likes it.......

I made a background using a Sheena Douglas stamp and Pan pastels, matted onto gold mirri and popped onto an 8"x 8" scalloped card base. The Tim Holtz image was stamped onto white card and cut out using an oval die, and edged using Treasure gold, (my newest addiction, lol). I stamped lots of Sheena's flowers and leaves, and coloured them with Promarkers, cut them out and layered as hair. The sentiment was heat embossed in gold and cut out. American seam binding was added before the image was attached.

Thank you for taking the time to visit, I hope you like my card, and please leave a comment, I love to read them.

Hugs,
Pauline

Lavinia Stamps Challenge 1. March 'Anything Goes'.

Hi again Crafty Blogging friends,
as you have probably heard there is a fantastic Challenge starting today,
 Friday 1st March 2013,
with a wonderful prize of a £40 voucher, to spend on their website.

The theme for the first Challenge is 'Anything Goes', and you can link to the Challenge blog

Challenge 1. March 'Anything goes', 1st DT card

I started off with a piece of smooth white card 5"x 5", I used a punched circle as a Moon mask, and coloured the with Distress inks, in Salty Ocean, Worn Lipstick, Squeezed Lemonade and Forest Moss. I removed the moon mask, and stamped the images using Memento Tuxedo Black, I then used Bazill card stock, in Pink and Blue, and attached it all to a blank 6"x 6" white card.

The Lavinia stamps I used were,

GAGGLE OF GEESE
BIRDS
SILVER BIRCH
and the blossom stamp from SPRING TREES

These can be veiwed and purchased at the link HERE

Challenge 1. March 'Anything goes' 2nd DT card

This project, is a 'Twinchie', a 2"x 2" little piece of decorated card.

I wanted the moon to stand out, so used a Spellbinders circle die on some Centura pearl card, then coloured it with Worn Lipstick Distress ink. I coloured the 2" piece of card with Distress inks in Salty Ocean, Worn Lipstick, Dusty Concord and Forest Moss, then glued the moon into position.
The image was stamped onto a separate piece of card using Memento Tuxedo Black, and the wings and stones were coloured with Promarkers. This image was cut out and layered with glue gel to give dimention, the wings were then glittered (although my photography does not show the sparkle,
sorry !!) I added some tiny hand drawn birds in the corner.

The Lavinia Stamp I used....

SMALL STAR GAZING

this can be viewed and purchased at the link HERE

I hope you've enjoyed looking at my creations using the beautiful Lavinia Stamps,
please have a go at the Lavinia Stamps Challenge, it will be fun, and you might win a £40 voucher to spend on new stamps.

Thank you for taking the time to pop by,
see you soon,
Hugs,
