Lavinia Stamps, Distress inks, Wow embossing powder, and Stickles.

Hi there,

Just popping in to tell you about the Lavinia Stamps October Challenge, which has just started, the theme this month is 'Autumn Colours'.

On my first card the stamps I used are,
Fairy Pods, a Fairy from Three Dancing Fairies, Bubbles and Believe in Magic.

I blended some Distress inks for the background, and gave it a splatter of water, then stamping the Pods with Versamark and heat embossing in white powder, I also stamped the Fairy, bubbles and the sentiment in the same way. I coloured inside the pods with Distress inks, added glossy accents to the bubbles, then went around all the images with a blue Promarker, to make them pop,
and the finishing touch......Stickles of course !!!!

My second project is a tag, using.......
Spotty Toadstool, Zen Plant,Vine, and Field Grass

I used a manila tag, blending some Distress inks over it to make a scene, I stamped all the stamps where I wanted them, then stamped the Toadstools onto a separate piece of card, coloured and fussy cut, but the tops only, which I added with Glue gel to give dimension.
To finish I added Stickles and some coloured ribbon.

I hope you'll have a go and enter the Lavinia Challenge, there's a chance of winning a whopping £40 on some new goodies, all details and lots of yummy DT inspiration projects, can be seen HERE.

Visible Image Stamps, Distress inks, Acrylic paints, and Stickles.

Helllloooo again,

I can't believe another week has sped by, and how dark it's getting at nights too, oh well, Spring will soon be here, lol !!!!!

I'd like to share a simple card, made using some fabulous

Winter Tree and the birds from Free Your Imagination.

I decided to make a simple card fitting for the season, so I blended some Distress inks for a background, using Autumnal colours, I stamped the tree in Gathered Twigs, and the birds in Black Soot. Then with acrylic paints, I stippled the leaves, it took me back to a time when I used stencils on my walls, lol !!! (remember to put some under the tree too). I added some stickles for a bit of sparkle, because that' the law, and one of Tim's Chit Chat stickers.......done !!!

I told you it was simple, but hopefully acceptable !!!

Visible Image stamps, Brusho Crystal Paints, Wow embossing Powder, and Stickles.

Hi again,

It's Fabulous Friday, and I'd like to share a creation using some
 Fabulous Visible Image Stamps.

For this 6"x 6" card the stamps I used are.....

I watered down some Brusho paint, one colour at a time, added it to the card and using a straw, blew it around a bit. I did this with 5 colours, drying each colour before adding another. When I was happy and the paint was dry, I stamped the butterfly with Versamark, and heat embossed with a gold sparkle  powder. I then added the sentiment in Black Versafine, masking off the words on the stamp that I didn't want, before inking.

On a piece of heat resistant acetate, I again stamped the butterfly with Versamark, this time heat embossing with Black powder, then fussy cutting it.
I attached it with Glue gel. A bit of mat and layering, and hey presto it's done.

Start thinking about the October Visible Image Challenge, the theme is 'Get Spooky', and there's a chance of winning £20 of new stamps. Take a look at all the fabulous DT samples and the rules......HERE.

Visible image Stamps, Distress inks, Memento Black tuxedo ink, Stickles & Promarkers

Hello again,

Just popping in to tell you about the fantastic October Visible Image Challenge, which starts today.

This month the theme is 'Get Spooky', so you can go wild on all things Halloween and spooky, just make sure you use at least one Visible Image Stamp, for a chance to win £20 of new stamps.

The fabulous stamps I used for this spookylicious card are....

and Tall Grass.

I inked a background, using Distress inks and a moon mask, on a separate piece of card, I stamped the Forest background with Distress inks, and.... silly I know, fussy cut all the trees, lol !!!! I then sprayed them with 'Spray & Sparkle', which gives them a glittery sheen.

Using Memento Black Tuxedo, I stamped Edward onto some Neenah card, and coloured him using Promarkers, adding a couple of fangs to make him a vampire.

After fussy cutting him out, I stamped some bats and fussy cut them too, I positioned everything on the background, using Pinflair Glue Gel to give some dimension, also making a border at the front.

I hope you'll join in the fun, and have a go at the Challenge, all the details can be found HERE.
Don't forget that you can enter in the Visible Facebook Group HERE.

Visible Image Stamps, Distress inks and a white Posca Pigment ink pen.

Hi Friends and fellow Crafters,

I hope the week has been kind to you, I have been getting nice and inky, lol !!!
Today's share is a card using some of the fabulous Visible Image Stamps....
used with some Distress inks, colours are...
Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot.

I started by inking the background, blending the lightest blue from the middle, and adding the darker 2 blues as I went to the outside, gave it a sprinkle of water, then using Crackled Background and Salty Ocean ink, stamped all over,  followed with the Grunge Flourish stamp and Black Soot ink.

On a separate piece of card, I coloured the card as before, sprinkled water on it, then stamped the sentiment in Black Soot.
To make all the black stamping pop, I highlighted the words and flourishes with a white pigment pen, then went round the edges with Treasure Gold.
I used yellow card-stock as the mat, just to contrast.

Have you entered the September Visible Image Challenge yet, only a few days left to create something with the theme of 'Make it Sparkle', you can find all the details HERE.
You can also enter from the Facebook Group page HERE.

Visible Image Stamps, Distress inks, Glossy Accents and Stickles.

Hi there,

Another creation using some fabulous Visible Image Stamps, on this card I used

I used just two Distress ink colours for this card, Worn Lipstick and Seedless Preserves.
Leaving a half inch strip on the bottom, I stamped half the card with 'Grunge Polka Dots', using Worn Lipstick, then the other half with the Tape measure from 'The Sewing Set', I added the buttonhole stamp down one side, and using the same colour, I stamped the stitches at the bottom, then blended both coloured inks around all the edges.
On a separate piece of card, using Seedless preserves, I stamped the body form, buttons, cotton reel, and fussy cut them. I stamped the medium Poinsettia bract in Worn Lipstick, and fussy cut, separating the leaves.

I shaped the leaves and made a skirt, then added Stickles round the edges. I stamped the top of the body form again, this time in Worn Lipstick, and cut out a vest for the top of the dress, stuck it to make a vest, then added Stickles. I tied a piece of ribbon around the waist to finish off.

I stamped a sentiment from The Sewing set, and hung the buttons and cotton reel from ribbon at the bottom, I went over them with Stickles and Glossy accents to finish off.

Don't forget the Monthly Challenge, theme being 'Add some Sparkle', details can be found 'HERE'.

You can also enter from the Facebook Group 'HERE'.

Visible Image Stamps, Distress Inks, Wow Embossing Powder, Versafine ink, and Stickles.

Hello again friends,

Another week has passed, and I'm back to share another card, created using some more of the fantastic unique stamps available from Visible Image.

This card was created using these stamps......
the small rose from Immortal Love,
the large leaf from Poinsettia Set

I started using the Zebra Background stamp, covered it in Distress inks in Ripe Persimmon, Worn Lipstick, and Dried Marigold, spritzed it with water, and stamped onto white card which was 5 1/4" square, I continued until all the card was covered, making sure I matched up the pattern, then stamped the Sentiment using Versafine Spanish Moss.

I stamped the roses onto some pink card, heat embossed with Bright White embossing powder, then added shading using a paintbrush and Ripe Persimmon Distress ink. I stamped some more roses onto white card, but this time I used Primary Cardinal Red embossing powder, shaded them the same way, then fussy cut them all. I stamped the leaves and the butterfly onto white card, using Versafine Spanish Moss, fussy cut, and shaped them, adding some coloured Stickles to the wings.
