Visible Image Stamps, Distress inks, Glossy Accents, Stickles, Grunge Paste, Luminarte silks and Treasure Gold.

Hellooooo my Crafty friends,

I'm sorry I haven't been around for a while, I've been getting over an infection, but I'm much better now, and back to crafting, yipeeee !!!!

Today I'm sharing a couple of cards I've made, using some fantastic unique stamps from Visible Image.

The first card uses

Butterfly INKognito and Create from Create Your Future.

 Using the splat end of the butterfly, Versamark and clear embossing powder, I stamped and heat embossed to make a resist, overwhich I  blended with Distress inks, to create my background.

 I coloured the butterfly stamp with watercolour pens, spritzed a fine spray of water then stamped, dried it thoroughly, then covered it with glossy accents, and left to dry, this gave it extra dimension.

When it was totally dry, I added Stickles to give the butterfly some bling !!! The sentiment was stamped in the same way as the butterfly.

Card 2 stamps are.....

INKognito Butterfly and Dream from Imagine Dream Inspire.

 This was really a bit of an experiment,

 I coated a piece of card with Grunge Paste, and using the same Butterfly stamp which was spritzed with water, I stamped into the paste, removed stamp and washed, and left the paste to dry.

This gave me a negative image, I painted the whole of the background with a pale pink chalk paint, when dry, using Luminarte Silk glazes, I painted the image of the butterfly. Using Treasure Gold gilding wax on my finger, I rubbed the outside of the background and gently across all the textured bits, I finished up stamping the sentiment with Archival ink.

I hope I've given you a bit of inspiration to try something a bit different. Don't forget to have a go at the Visible Image Challenge, the theme this month is 'Anything Goes', and there's a chance you could win £20 of new stamps.

Visible Image Stamps, Brusho Crystal Paints, Distress inks, Wow Embossing Powder

Hi there, 

I'm back today, with a new project, using some of the amazing 

Visible Image Stamps available.

The fab stamps I used on this project are........

Man INKognito, Woman INKognito, Grunge Check Background, Grunge Polka Dot, Bronte Script, These are the Moments, Imperfection is Beauty, the small feather from Free Your Imagination Set, and the small rose from

 Immortal Love.

It's a Tag Plaque, lol !!!

I started with 2 manila tags, and made inky background using Brusho paints, I love them, blue for a boy and red for a girl. On the boys tag, I stamped the Grunge Check, and Bronte script, dried it then stamped the man in Versamark, and heat embossed in black. I did the other tag in the same way, but I used Grunge polka Dot,  Bronte script, and heat embossed the Woman in black.

The sentiment's were stamped onto a separate piece of card, again heat embossed in black, fussy cut, and matted onto some coloured card.

I stamped the small feather in versamark, added mica powders to it, then glossy accents, dried and fussy cut. I also stamped the small rose 4 times, coloured it and fussy cut it in layers, glued together, and sprayed with Perfect Pearl mist. I coloured some ribbon with Distress inks for the tops of the tags too.

I loved both tags so much, I decided to keep them together, so mounted them on a piece of chipboard, covered in black card, I made a hanger using string, and as I plaited it, I added in some of the coloured ribbon.

Visible Image Stamps, Brusho Crystal Paints, Distress Ink, Stickles and Glossy Accents.

Hello again,

I'm back to tell you about the new Visible Image Challenge, which starts today, the theme for the August Challenge is 'Anything Goes', with a chance to win £20 on some fabulous new Visible Image stamps, and there are some stunning new ones to be had.

This is my bit of DT inspiration......get your dark glasses on, lol !!!!

This is a large 8 3/4" x 6 1/2" card, I was going to cut it down, but I loved the Brusho background so much, I left it whole !!!

The fabulous Visible Image stamps I used on this project were....... 

Vision INKognito, Where dreams take you, Classic Face, 

Grunge Flourish, Bronte Script, 

the small feather from Free your Imagination and Butterfly.

After sprinkling the Brusho's onto a piece of Centura Pearl card (the matt side), spritzing with water, helping it run a little, adding a bit more paint and water, and then drying completely.

 I stamped the Bronte script randomly in Picked Raspberry Distress ink, then stamped the Grunge Flourish using Festive Berries Distress ink, around some of the edges.

I then stamped Vision INKognito and the sentiment using Black Versafine ink, and the small feather in Salty Ocean Distress ink. To highlight the inside of the eye, and around the sentiment, I used thick household bleach and a small paintbrush. I coloured the iris with Picked Raspberry and Festive Berries, dried it, then added Glossy accents.

I stamped Classic Face using black Versafine, and carefully cut it out using my scalpel. I then spritzed the face with water again, and blotted with kitchen roll as I wanted it lighter than the background. Again I bleached the white of the eye and the lips, I also painted the Grunge Flourish stamp with bleach, and stamped over the face, I then matted it onto two lots of coloured card.

I stamped 6 Butterflies onto a piece of card and coloured with Brusho's, then fussy cut them. I cut all but one in half, and glued them around the edges of the hole, then glued the Face on to the top, adding the whole butterfly on top of that.

To finish off, I added Glossy Accents to the iris, stickles to the eye lid, the lips, and around the INKognito eye.

Lavinia Stamps, Distress inks, Brusho paints,

Hi again, 

I'm back with more DT work, this time for lovely Lavinia Stamps.

It is the start of the August Challenge, the theme is 'Add some Glitter'.

Here are two cards to hopefully inspire you......

The stamp's used for this 6"x 6" card are.. Spring Trees, Tree scene and Birds.

A very simple card, I stamped using Black Archival ink, then sprinkled Brusho crystal paints in areas, then spritzed with water, when it was dry......

 I added stickles for the glittery effect.

The stamps I used on my second 6"x 6" card, are.... Trees, Willow, Creeping Vine, Lavender, Witches Cat and the Dragonfly from Bugs.  

I put a moon mask on the background, blended Distress inks, and stamped, again using Distress inks.

And of course Stickles for the glitter.

Sweet Poppy Stencils

Hello,

Just popping in to let you know that Sweet Poppy Stencils will be on Create & Craft TV on Wednesday 6th August. There is a new range of stencils being shown by the lovely Lucy Ellis, I hope you will tune in.

Here's a couple of sneaky peeks.......

I used white gloss paste through this stencil and washed the stencil straight away. When the paste was dry, I popped the stencil back on, and rubbed Pinflair Buff It in 3 colour's, through the stencil and over the paste, to finish I added some Treasure Gold.

I coated one side of the stencil with Embossing ink, removed it, then added silver glitter embossing powder, and used my heat gun to set it. Don't forget to wash the stencil. I then fussy cut the images out, made a cloud background with distress inks, and added the balloons with Pinflair gel.

The sentiment is also a stencil, and I used silver pate through it, then added silver glitter.

Visible Image Stamps, Brusho crystal Paints, Black Versafine ink, & Stickles.

Hi there,

After spending a fabulous day crafting with my friend 

Eileen Godwin, my mentor, she kindly let me play with her Brusho Paints, oh gosh am I in love with them, well hell yes, lol.
 Do take a look at Eileen's blog, it's pure mind blowing inspiration.

I chose some of the fabulous stamps, from the Visible Image range, they always stamp so perfectly, to use with the paints.

Forest Background, Tall Grass and Butterfly

 Put a mask on a piece of card for the sun, sprinkle Brusho's for the background, spritz them with water, and watch the magic happen.
Take off the mask, then stamp the Forest and the grass, and add Stickles for that extra bling.

On a separate piece of card, sprinkle some more paint, spritzed with water again, and stamp the Butterfly, fussy cut it, and then add some Stickles.

Hey presto, it is that easy, if a bit messy, I did have multi-coloured hands, but that's nothing new, lol.

I shall be back again soon, with news of the August Visible Image Challenge, which starts on the 4th this month.

Visible Image Stamps, Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Ranger Liquid Pearls, Ranger Stickles, Black Versafine Ink, Ranger Enamel Accents, and a white Pen

Hi there fellow Crafters,

Today's share is two cards, one sad and one happy. I thought I'd show you how you can use the same stamp to make a happy card, but also toned down, for a Sympathy card.

I have of course used the fantastic new

 Visible Image, Flower INKognito Stamp, I love it, plus Live Life Now and the 'More than Words' Sympathy Set.

The Happy card background is made using 4 colours of Distress ink, one in each corner and blended into each other, I kept adding more and more ink to get nice and vibrant colours.

 I splashed the card using water on my fingers, stamped the flower and sentiment using Black Versafine and when it was dry, I painted the flower using a paint bruch, a little water and some Pink Liquid Pearls, spodging some of it to one side, along with Shabby White Frantage powder. I added green Stickles to the stem, and highlighted the sentiment.

The Sympathy card is basically done in the same way,  but using less ink on the background, making it lighter in tone, adding a little Stickles to the flower, and using Shabby Black Frantage to one side

I stamped the middle of the Sympathy card, with the wonderful poem that comes in the Sympathy Set, the lovely

 Helen Michelle of Visible Image wrote it and it say's it all.

I hope you've considered entering the Visible Image Challenge, the theme is 'Anything Goes', so easy as long as you use at least one Visible Image Stamp, or more of course.

You can also enter in the Visible Image Face Book Group, just comment that you want it in the Challenge.
